Crypto is legal in Ghana. The Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASP) Act 2025 created a formal framework for digital asset services, and mobile money is the country's dominant payment rail — which makes MoMo cash-outs the natural way to sell crypto. Regulation continues to evolve, so treat this as general information rather than legal advice and check the rules that apply to you.
For your safety, AfriKash keeps the process simple during the launch phase: no account, no advance deposit, and you only send crypto after the amount and rate are confirmed in writing at checkout. We will never ask for your private keys, your MoMo PIN or any password. Every trade ends with a written receipt showing the crypto received, the rate applied and the cedis paid out.
MTN Mobile Money payouts usually arrive within 5 to 30 minutes after we confirm receipt of your crypto. Bank transfers take 30 minutes to 24 hours, and cash pickup depends on the partner closest to you in Accra or Kumasi.
MTN MoMo is the default mobile money channel in the calculator. If you prefer Telecel Cash or AT Money, tell live support when you confirm your order and we will arrange it during the launch phase.
